EA Sports FC 24, the successor to FIFA, is close to hitting shelves across the world as football fans prepare themselves for a new dawn.
While the game promises to be different to recent iterations due to EA (Electronic Arts) and FIFA's divorce, there should also be plenty of similarities.
One such similarity is the rating system, which continually divides opinion each year, especially for those interested in Ultimate Team. The Premier League always boasts some of the highest-rated players and this year is no different with the likes of Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne all at the peak of their powers.

Top rated Premier League players in EA Sports FC 24
Haaland had a base rating on 88 in FIFA 23 at the start of the season but that quickly rose with regular updates. The new game has the big Norwegian striker tied as the best Premier League asset alongside Manchester City teammate Kevin De Bruyne.
Unsurprisingly, the treble winners dominate the list of top rated players in England's top flight. Ruben Dias and Rodri come in at 89 while Bernardo Silva and Ederson are ranked a smidge lower on 88 apiece.
Liverpool trio Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson also come in with 89s despite a disappointing 2022/23 season at Anfield, while Manchester United pair Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes are 89 and 88-rated respectively.
Chelsea's summer of heavy spending has returned little when it comes to EA Sports FC 24 ratings, but Christopher Nkunku's wonderful past two years at RB Leipzig make him the Blues' best asset with an 86 rating.
Harry Kane departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich in the summer, leaving Son Heung-min (87) as the sole Spurs representative in the game's top 24 Premier League players. North London rivals Arsenal have more of the spotlight with three stars - Martin Odegaard (87), Bukayo Saka (86) and Declan Rice (85) - making the cut.
Newcastle's squad is due upgrades all round after qualifiying for the Champions League but it's new boy Sandro Tonali (86) who takes the highest rating in the Magpies' squad. Kieran Trippier (85) will also enjoy his highest rating in the EA series.
