EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Team: Contracts removed, SBC Storage added, Corner Kick instructions, GK movement nerfed

EA Sports announced major changes to FC 25 Ultimate Team including SBC Storage, nerfs to goalkeeper movement, specialized corner kick tactics and more.

The EA Sports FC 25 hype train has officially left the station with fans getting excited for a new year of Ultimate Team. The developer gave fans a preview of system overhauls coming to Ultimate Team ahead of a Deep Dive later this August.

Headlining the changes are:

• Revamped Division Rivals system and rewards
• SBC Storage
• Evolution system updates
• Contracts removed
• Goalkeeper movement nerfed

EA Sports FC 25 Division Rivals updates

Division Rivals is getting a major overhaul from the past couple of years. First off, relegation is being reintroduced. Players will no longer stay in a division they're not supposed to be in. EA Sports is reducing the amount of checkpoints in each division.

As well, rewards are now tied to points instead of wins. Players will earn three points for a win and a point for a draw toward weekly reward progress.

Finally, the grind from Division 10 upward is being scrapped. Instead, FC 25 will recognize your highest Division achieved from FC 24 giving players a head start in the ladder. This should improve the game's matchmaking health early on and throughout the year.

Perhaps the biggest quality of life change in Ultimate Team history, EA Sports is adding a storage system for untradeable duplicate player items. Players won't have to worry about discarding their duplicates anymore with players able to hold up to 100 items.

EA Sports FC 25 Evolution changes

"We’ve heard your feedback and are looking to make Evolution requirements less restrictive in FC 25, enabling you to use a bigger variety of Player Items in Evolutions more often. We’ll also be adding more Evolutions so there are more opportunities to upgrade your Player Items," EA Sports said.

According to leakers, players will also be able to complete multiple Evolutions at a time.

EA Sports FC 25 Contracts removed

Contracts are the latest consumable to be axed in Ultimate Team. Over the years, Squad Fitness, position modifers and more have been removed to create a more streamlined experience. This year, Contracts for player and manager items are out.

EA Sports FC 25 goalkeeper movement nerfed

One of the most requested updates, EA Sports is nerfing goalkeeper movement. Players will no longer be able to drag their keepers around the box. There will be a limited movement option with a cooldown applied after.
