Ed Woodward takes first job since Man Utd exit
Ed Woodward has taken on his first role since leaving his post as Manchester United's executive vice-chairman in 2022.
Woodward has taken up a job as a non-executive director at esports company EStars - aimed at using esports for educational purposes in the Middle East.
The job is Woodward's first since he left Man Utd following a 16-year, largely-derided, spell at Old Trafford. During his lengthy tenure at the club, Woodward took on roles ranging from 'financial planning', to leading commercial and media operations before being appointed executive vice-chairman in 2012.

In his 10 years as the club's executive vice-chairman, Woodward would be heavily criticised for overseeing the Red Devils' worst trophy drought since the mid-1980s.
Now, Woodward has been announced as a new member of EStars' team - a team which also includes ex-Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.
In an official statement from the company announcing his appointment, Woodward said: “When you put together esports, education and a dynamic region such as the Middle East, where curriculum decisions can be made faster than Europe, it is a recipe for success.
“Joining the team is an easy decision when you add the exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial energy of Mags. I’m excited about EStars delivering a path of learning for the next generation in the (relatively) new industry of esports.”
Woodward was replaced by Richard Arnold at Man Utd, with Arnold moving from a previous managing director role into a new CEO position.
