Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin all netted as England breezed to a 3-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at Wembley.

The hosts showed some defensive fragility early on but drew first blood through Maguire, who rose high to head home Harry Winks' deep cross. England then doubled their advantage when Sancho fired a fierce shot through Jeff Hendrick's legs and past Darren Randolph in the Irish goal.

After the break, the visitors' misery continued when Cyrus Christie brought Bukayo Saka down in the box. The resulting penalty was dispatched clinically by Calvert-Lewin.

Here are your England and Ireland player ratings from Wembley Stadium...

ENGLAND

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Nick Pope (GK) - 7/10 - A couple of great high claims before being replaced at the break. Did his chances of displacing Jordan Pickford no harm.

Michael Keane (CB) - 7/10 -
Kept things ticking over nicely on the right of the back three, racking up a team high 91 passes in total.

Harry Maguire (CB) - 8/10 -
A 'captain's goal' got the party started in the first half.

Tyrone Mings (CB) - 7/10 -
Always a threat in the opposing box from corners and rarely troubled in his own 18 yard area.

2. Wing Backs & Midfielders

James was in great form for the Three Lions

Reece James (RWB) - 8/10 - Impressive. Some great crosses and pushed forward superbly.

Mason Mount (CM) - 7/10 -
Ended up taking 11 corners, one of which (kind of) led to a goal.

Harry Winks (CM) - 7/10 -
Great ball in for Maguire's goal. Keep it neat and tidy other than that.

Bukayo Saka (LWB) - 8/10 -
Very nearly netted the second after a great run. Also won a penalty.

3. Forwards

Jadon Sancho (RW) - 8/10 - His third ever England goal was very well taken.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (ST) - 8/10 -
Pressed the Irish centre backs relentlessly. Great penalty as well.

Jack Grealish (LW) - 8/10 -
Very positive display. Always wanted the ball and looked to create when he had it.

4. Substitutes

Dean Henderson - 7/10 - Made one save with the side of his foot on debut. Proper five-a-side goalkeeper without any gloves vibes. Looked assured.

Phil Foden - 6/10

Ainsley Maitland-Niles - 6/10

Tammy Abraham - 6/10

Jude Bellingham - N/A

IRELAND

5. Goalkeepers & Defender

Christie conceded a second half penalty

Darren Randolph (GK) - 5/10 - Looked a bit shaky at times. Nearly spilled the ball straight into Saka's path early on.

Cyrus Christie (RB) - 4/10 -
Had a tough time with Sancho and Grealish swapping wings. Clumsily conceded a penalty after the break.

Shane Duffy (CB) - 4/10 -
Some sloppy moments. Out-jumped by Maguire for the opener.

John Egan (CB) - 6/10 -
Was replaced after just 14 minutes following a clash of heads.

Matt Doherty (LB) - 5/10 -
The pick of the Irish defenders, Doherty made a couple of good interceptions and clearances.

6. Midfield

Hendrick could have done better for England's second goal

Alan Browne (CM) - 5/10 - A bit of a passenger. Struggled to gain a foothold in midfield.

Conor Hourihane (CM) - 5/10 -
Very passive in his press, rarely engaging Winks and co.

Jeff Hendrick (CM) - 4/10 -
Should have got tighter to Sancho for his goal. Offered next to nothing in possession.

7. Forwards

Daryl Horgan (RW) - 5/10 - Extremely limited impact. Touched the ball just 18 times in the first half.

Adam Idah (ST) - 5/10 -
A few nice moments but he largely looked out of his depth.

Callum O'Dowda (LW) - 6/10 -
Registered his side's only shot of the first half.

8. Substitutes

Robbie Brady - 6/10

Kevin Long - 6/10

Ronan Curtis - 6/10

Jayson Molumby - 6/10
