England play Germany at Molineux on Wednesday evening in the pair's final fixture of the Arnold Clark Cup.

Both teams are on the hunt for their first win of the round robin tournament, England having drawn to both Canada and Spain, while Germany were held by the latter in their opening game, before losing to the former on Sunday.

Canada may have already won the Arnold Clark Cup by the time England and Germany take to the pitch in Wolverhampton if they beat Spain in the day's earlier kick off. Anything less than a win for Bev Priestman's side could leave the door open for England or Spain to lift the trophy.

England team news

Speaking in her pre-match press conference, Sarina Wiegman confirmed that England have a fully fit squad heading into Wednesday evening's clash.

Just three players are yet to feature for the Lionesses at the Arnold Clark Cup: Ellie Roebuck, Niamh Charles and Katie Zelem. Although Wiegman remained coy on her goalkeeper situation, it is expected that Roebuck will start against Germany so that each of the Lionesses' shot stoppers have been given an opportunity during the international break.

Wiegman has stressed the importance of experimentation during the tournament, and the Germany clash could once again see more players tried out in slightly unconventional positions.

Germany team news

Germany have been walking wounded during the Arnold Clark Cup, missing a number of key players due to injury and Covid-19.

Lena Oberdorf is struggling with a knee injury and is unlikely to feature, having missed her side's defeat to Canada due to the problem. Manager Martina Voss-Tecklenburg admitted the 20-year-old would have been in contention to play had it been a more high stakes fixture, but with games on the horizon for Wolfsburg, she opted not to risk her.

England vs Germany predicted lineups

England vs Germany score prediction

England's clash with Germany represents arguably their most winnable match of the Arnold Clark Cup, given how depleted the German squad is. However, Voss-Tecklenburg is still able to name a hugely talented side, with new Wolfsburg signing Jule Brand a player to particularly look out for.

Both teams have been solid defensively without being clinical in the final third over the course of the international break, so it doesn't promise to be a high scoring affair. England will edge a victory - but will it be enough to win the whole competition?

Score prediction: England 1-0 Germany
