Erik ten Hag has hailed Mason Mount's debut for Manchester United, saying the midfielder can bring more 'dynamism' to the team.
The former Chelsea man played the first half of Man Utd's comfortable 2-0 win over Leeds in Oslo on Wednesday afternoon, particularly catching the eye with his forays into the opposition box.
Speaking to the press after the game, Ten Hag was keen to praise Mount, saying: "It was a good performance [from Mount], but we expected this because he has so many skills and I am sure he will contribute to the success of Manchester United because he is a quality player.
"His ambition is to play offensively but he also wants to be multifunctional and complete. When you play in midfield you have to attack and defend but I am sure he will bring dynamism into our game.
"That is what we analysed; one of our conclusions last season was that we needed more dynamism in that midfield department."

Mount also gave his own take on his showing in Oslo, revealing what the Red Devils have been working on in during at this early stage of pre-season.
"We've been working very hard [in training], so it's good to now put it into practice and play on the pitch now," said the Englishman.
"That first week is mostly focused on getting the legs going again, getting the distance in the legs by running. But we've definitely been working on a few tactics as well, coming into this game. I've definitely got a great understanding of how the manager wants to work and how the boys play.
"Obviously now it's about using these games to work at it more and and putting it into practice when we get on the pitch. It was a good start today, a good win. As I said, it's important to get the minutes in the legs, but it's important to win as well and that's what we want to do this season.
"I really liked that role [deeper midfield] today," he added. "Being able to drop in and get on the ball and start the play from a bit deeper, but also having that freedom to be able to get forward and get in the box."
