Erik ten Hag provides update on Facundo Pellistri's Man Utd future
Erik ten Hag has stated that he sees a future for youngster Facundo Pellistri at Manchester United following an impressive showing in the Carabao Cup.
The 21-year-old spent last season out on loan at La Liga outfit Alaves, making 21 appearances for the club, and was widely expected to be loaned out again during the summer transfer window. Ten Hag, however, elected to keep the Uruguayan international at the club.
Pellistri finally made his debut for the club on Tuesday evening in Manchester United's comfortable 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
On this edition of TPL, Scott Saunders & Rob Blanchette discuss how to solve Man Utd's issue at centre-forward & Ten Hag's striker plans. The guys talk Wout Weghorst, the fact João Felix is no longer on the market, Victor Osimhen, Harry Kane, Benjamin Sesko & more!

Speaking about Pellistri's performance and his future with the club in his post-match press conference, Ten Hag said that he was 'really happy' with the youngster's performance: "I see a future in him. He is doing really well and we have to see what is the best [for him]. He is progressing. Against Everton [in a behind-closed doors friendly], I was really happy with his performance.
"I was happy with his performance at the World Cup so his progress is really good and now he is coming on and has an effect. So that's the next step that I say: 'well done Pelli, keep going'."
Pellistri will be hoping to make his maiden Premier League appearance for the Red Devils on Saturday afternoon against Manchester City.
