Even though it feels like Haaland has been around the Champions League scene for many years now with RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund and now City, he has only faced them once in competitive competition.

That came during City's 1-1 draw with Real in the first leg of their 2022/23 Champions League semi-final, which saw Vinicius Junior and Kevin De Bruyne trade wonder strikes.

Haaland wasn't on the scoresheet at the Bernabeu, with his only other outing against Real Madrid - a friendly in August 2019 during his time at Salzburg - also resulting in a goal blank.
