Erling Haaland believes Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard would be a great addition to Manchester City.
City sit just a point behind Arsenal in the Premier League standings, but Haaland reckons Pep Guardiola should look to secure the Gunners' star to bolster his squad.
The pair both represent Norway on the international stage and are set to face Slovakia on Tuesday before returning to their clubs. In the Premier League, Haaland and Odegaard play for rival teams and will face off next Sunday.
The 23-year-old striker believes Odegaard would be a strong character at City. Speaking on the potential of new players at City, Haaland referred to Odegaard and said: "There's a good player, and a player that plays for our rivals. He's just signed a new contract, so it's not a topic, but at City we have a lot of the best players in the world."
Haaland arrived at Manchester City in 2022 and has been a star player since his debut. He's on track for another successful season after assisting the Blues to a treble winning season in 2023.
Odegaard joined the Gunners in 2021 from Real Madrid and was named captain by Mikel Arteta at the start of last season. He's led them on two title challenges and is now regarded as one of the best Premier League midfielders following his initial loan spell at the Emirates Stadium.
The pair have yet to be successful on the international stage, however. Norway lost 2-1 to Czechia on Friday and have not qualified for Euro 2024.
