Euro 2024 qualifiers today: Your guide to Tuesday's games
- The October Euro 2024 qualifiers conclude on Tuesday
- England host Italy hoping to secure qualification
- Northern Ireland have been eliminated from contention with three games to spare
The October international break draws to a close on Tuesday night with another healthy slate of Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Several nations have already booked their spots in Germany next year, including Scotland, Spain, France and Portugal, and England could soon be joining them.
Their duel with Italy is the undoubted blockbuster on Tuesday night, although there are a few significant duels littered around the other groups. Here's everything you need to know about the action in Euro 2024 qualifying.
Euro 2024 qualifiers today - Tuesday 17 October
All times are BST.
Group C
England vs Italy - 19:45
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Wembley Stadium
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Clement Turpin (FRA)
- VAR: Jerome Brisard (FRA)
A historic victory in Rome at the start of qualifying didn't quite avenge England's defeat in the Euro 2020 final, but it was nonetheless a memorable night for Gareth Southgate's men as Harry Kane became the Three Lions' all-time record goalscorer.
England have breezed through qualifying thus far, and a victory at Wembley will see them into Euro 2024.
Italy, meanwhile, haven't tasted defeat since being beaten on Matchday 1 and their victory over Malta at the weekend ramped the pressure up on England just that little bit more heading into Tuesday's duel at Wembley.

Malta vs Ukraine - 19:45
- Location: Ta’Qali, Malta
- Stadium: National Stadium
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Morten Krogh (DEN)
- VAR: Rob Dieperink (NED)
Ukraine will be pleading for an England victory in London as they attempt to pip Italy to second spot in Group C.
The Ukrainians have fought hard throughout qualifying, picking up a point against England to boost their hopes of progressing, and they're currently level on points with the Italians. The Azzurri, though, have a game in-hand.
Nevertheless, Ukraine will be expected to do the business on Tuesday night away at bottom dwellers Malta after crucially beating North Macedonia on Saturday.

Group G
Serbia vs Montenegro - 19:45
- Location: Belgrade, Serbia
- Stadium: Stadion Rajko Mitić
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Szymon Marcinaik (POL)
- VAR: Tomasz Kwiatkowski (POL)
There will be no love lost in Belgrade on Tuesday night as a pair of political and geographical rivals face off. Serbia and Montenegro competed as one at the 2006 World Cup, but they've been separate entities since.
While Serbia have long been the superior force, Montenegro will have a great chance of qualifying at the expense of their great rivals if they avoid defeat on Tuesday.
After they were beaten by Hungary, Serbia are just two points ahead of their upcoming opponents having played a game more.

- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Juxhin Xhaja (ALB)
- VAR: Luca Pairetto (ITA)
Hungary have embarked on a stellar qualifying campaign. Led by Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, they're yet to taste defeat in Group G and victory on Tuesday will all but secure their place at Euro 2024.
Hungary secured a huge 2-1 victory over Serbia on Saturday to open up a three-point gap at the summit and they'll be expected to have no issues against a Lithuania side that have won just one game in qualifying thus far.

Group H
Finland vs Kazakhstan - 17:00
- Location: Helsinki, Finland
- Stadium: Helsingin Olympiastadion
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Irfan Peljto (BIH)
- VAR: Ivan Bebek (CRO)
It's tight at the top of Group H and this is a hugely significant contest for both nations. Victory would give them a shot of qualifying, but defeat would surely end their hopes. A draw would help neither.
Finland and Kazakhstan both sit on 12 points with three matchdays remaining in Group H. They're four points adrift of joint-leaders Slovenia and Denmark.
With the leaders expected to both win on Tuesday, this is a must-win for both sides. It's the only contest on at an earlier time and it may well be worth tuning in. Finland are hoping to qualify for just their second Euros, while Kazakhstan have never competed at a major tournament before.

Northern Ireland vs Slovenia - 19:45
- Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
- Stadium: Windsor Park
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: István Kovács (ROU)
- VAR: Marco Fritz (GER)
It's been a wretched qualifying campaign for Northern Ireland, who competed at Euro 2016, and they've already been eliminated from contention.
A victory over minnows San Marino at the weekend offered some respite and they'll be looking to disrupt Slovenia's chances of entering Euro 2024 on Tuesday. Slovenia are the current top dogs in Group H thanks to an impressive goal difference and have been one of the pleasant surprises of qualifying so far.
Tuesday's visitors to Windsor Park took a huge step towards qualifying on Saturday when they beat Finland 3-0 thanks to a Benjamin Sesko brace.

San Marino vs Denmark - 19:45
- Location: Serravalle, San Marino
- Stadium: San Marino Stadium
- Date: Tuesday 17 October
- Referee: Viktor Kopiievskyi (UKR)
- VAR: Fedayi San (SUI)
Denmark were projected to top this group pretty comfortably, but Slovenia's brilliance means they haven't had it all their own way.
Nevertheless, the Euro 2020 semi-finalists are still in a strong position to qualify for next summer's tournament and are essentially guaranteed three points on Tuesday night. A Robert Skov brace inspired Denmark to an important victory over Kazakhstan last time out.
As for San Marino, well, it's been more of the same. Seven games, seven defeats, zero goals scored, and 24 conceded. Bosh.
