We are edging ever closer to Euro 2024 with nations around the continent desperate to book their plane tickets to Germany.

The successor to the Pan-European tournament held back in 2021 - delayed due to Covid-19 - will come at the end of the 2023/24 season, only a year and a half removed from the 2022 World Cup.

Cries of 'It's coming Rome!' bellowed out at Wembley when Italy beat England on penalties in the last tournament's final. Here are the teams who have rubber-stamped their places at UEFA's next international men's tournament.

Which teams have qualified for Euro 2024?

1. Germany

As Germany will host Euro 2024, the men's side qualify automatically for the tournament. Die Mannschaft have no qualifiers to partake in, instead filling their fixture list with friendlies as new manager Julian Nagelsmann tries to improve the squad's dire mood.

Germany went out in the group stages of the 2022 World Cup, having also done so in 2018 when they were defending champions.

Despite being joint-record Euros winners with three alongside Spain, Germany last reached the competition's final in 2008 and were eliminated by England in the last 16 in 2021.

2. Portugal

Many an eyebrow were raised when Portugal decided to turn to Roberto Martinez, but you can't argue with the results he's got.

The Selecao booked their place at Euro 2024 by winning all eight of their qualifiers, with a rejuvenated Cristiano Ronaldo at the heart of their efforts.

3. Belgium

Belgium have secured at their sixth-successive major tournament and have done so while ushering into a new era.

Eden Hazard has retired, Kevin De Bruyne is currently injured and Romelu Lukaku has only just found his form again, but the Red Devils' young cohort have managed to silence their doubters for the time being.

4. France

Didier Deschamps' France are showing no signs of letting up after comfortably sealing qualification to Euro 2024.

Les Bleus' ticket to Germany was booked after beating the Netherlands 2-1 in Amsterdam, with Kylian Mbappe spearheading their efforts.

France will be out to become the champions of Europe for the third time in their history and the first time since Euro 2000.

5. Spain

Spain joined the raft of European giants to confirm their spot in Germany when they beat Norway 1-0, putting Erling Haaland, Martin Odegaard and co at risk of missing another international tournament.

That will mean little to La Roja, who have won the Euros three times in their history, two coming back-to-back in 2008 and 2012.

6. Scotland

Spain's win over Norway also confirmed Scotland's qualification days after Steve Clarke's side had been beaten in Seville in their first game of the October international break.

However, it was their electric form that bagged them five wins from as many games in Group A, ensuring Scotland reached their second consecutive European Championship and their fourth overall.

7. Turkey

Turkey put a defeat to Croatia on Matchday 2 behind them to establish a strong lead at the top of Group D, securing their qualification in October.

Things are going well for former AC Milan and Sevilla boss Vincenzo Montella, who was appointed as Turkey manager earlier in 2023.

8. Austria

Ralf Rangnick looks more at home on the international stage than he ever did as interim Manchester United manager, leading Austria to their fourth Euros appearance.

The likes of David Alaba, Marcel Sabitzer and Konrad Laimer will all be looking to improve on their last-16 elimination at Euro 2020.

9. England

England booked their place at the tournament after a 3-1 win over Italy sealed top spot in their group.

Gareth Southgate's side banished the ghosts of the Euro 2020 final and put Italy to bed with real quality, sending a statement to the rest of the teams at the upcoming tournament.

For all you fans of Dominik Szoboszlai, you'll be getting the chance to watch him on the international stage next summer.

Hungary have secured qualification to Euro 2024. You already know they're going to be in a lot of 'dark horse' predictions.

11. Slovakia

It looked for a while that the unlikely team to join Portugal at Euro 2024 out of Group J would be underdogs Luxembourg.

Unfortunately for them, Slovakia got their house in order and finished as the runners-up instead.

12. Albania

For just the second time in their history, Albania are heading to a major tournament.

The Eagles suffered an early elimination at Euro 2016 but will have another chance to dazzle Europe when they set foot in Germany next summer.

13. Denmark

It looked a little hairy at Denmark at times, but they have at last secured their spot at Euro 2024.

Their last adventure at the European Championships saw them reach the semi-finals - can they replicate such a run again?

14. Netherlands

There was a danger that the Netherlands may have missed out on a spot at a major tournament again, but the Oranje have rallied and booked their place at Euro 2024.

What weird formation will Ronald Koeman use and which players will he shove into suboptimal roles? Who knows. That's part of the fun.

15. Romania

Romania have kept their strange record of only qualifying for every-other European Championship this ceremony in tact.

Remaining unbeaten for their first nine qualifying games has saved them a seat on the plane to Germany.

16. Switzerland

Joining Romania out of Group I are Switzerland, who too have built up an unassailable lead over a young and plucky Israel side.

17. Serbia

For the first time since the dissolution of Yugoslavia, Serbia have qualified for a European Championship.

Aleksandar Mitrovic celebrated the end of a 24-year drought with a massive pizza all to himself. Respect.

How can teams qualify for Euro 2024?

Nations will go through qualifying for the remaining 23 spots at Euro 2024 alongside Germany. The ten group winners and each group's runners-up qualify directly for the tournament and the three remaining places are decided by play-offs.

Play-off spots are given to teams who excelled in the 2022/23 Nations League but could not qualify for Euro 2024 by winning their group or coming second.

It was confirmed in September 2022 that Russia were excluded from qualifying following the country's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. All Russian teams were suspended by UEFA in the wake of the escalation of conflict.

When is Euro 2024?

Euro 2024 will take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024 in Germany. The ten host cities are Berlin, Dortmund, Munich, Cologne, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Leipzig, Frankfurt and Gelsenkirchen.

Germany fought off Turkey's rival bid to win hosting rights back in September 2018, earning 12 votes to Turkey's four with one abstention.
