Every Premier League team's player of the weekend: Gameweek 28
Gameweek 28 provided another set of excellent Premier League fixtures.
Premier League title hopes were bolstered, Champions League dreams were improved or dashed, while those at the bottom of the table suffered more heartbreak as the season hurtles towards its conclusion.
Some stars came out to play, too. Here's each Premier League team's top performing player from an excellent weekend of top-flight football.
Arsenal - Bukayo Saka (9/10) - vs Watford
What we said: "Provided another crisp reminder of the blistering talent at his disposal."
Aston Villa - Philippe Coutinho (10/10) vs Southampton
What we said: "My word. Villa were exceptional but Coutinho was on an entirely new level. He destroyed Southampton's back line and could have easily had a hat-trick of goals and another of assists."
Brentford - Ivan Toney (10/10) vs Norwich
What we said: "Dropped deep to link play, made himself a nuisance, and crucially scored three times."
Brighton - Lewis Dunk (7/10) vs Newcastle
What we said: "Brighton's skipper firmly erased any memory of his unpunished face-plant with a commanding conversion and defended well otherwise."
Burnley - Wout Weghorst (5/10) vs Chelsea
What we said: "Battled hard up front and gave it his all - Burnley's best player on the day."
Chelsea - Reece James (9/10) vs Burnley
What we said: "Wonderful performance from start to finish. Scored a stunning goal, grabbed an assist and was brilliant at the back."
Crystal Palace - Wilfried Zaha (8/10) vs Wolves
What we said: "Constantly looked to exploit Wolves' high defensive line, providing the difference in the final third in the first half."
Everton - Anthony Gordon (6/10) vs Tottenham
What we said: "Was lively early on, being tugged and pulled by Spurs players as he looked to run clear. Showed some 'pashun'."
Leeds - Jack Harrison (7/10) vs Leicester
What we said: "Worked extremely hard and looked sharp in possession. Excellent crossing."
Leicester - Kasper Schmeichel (8/10) vs Leeds
What we said: "Kept his side in it with a string of fine saves. A captain's performance that he has not always delivered this season."
Liverpool - Trent Alexander-Arnold (9/10) vs West Ham
What we said: "Made a huge difference at both ends of the pitch, proving a source of creation and sweeping up at the back."
Manchester City - Kevin De Bruyne (10/10) vs Manchester United
What we said: "Two goals and an assist. His passing was a joy to behold, simply stunning performance from the Belgian maestro."
Manchester United - Jadon Sancho (7/10) vs Manchester City
What we said: "A threat and just about got the better of Kyle Walker - good effort."
Newcastle - Ryan Fraser (7/10) vs Brighton
What we said: "Got his just-rewards for a lung-bursting run to support Murphy for Newcastle's opener and provided the second."
Norwich - Teemu Pukki (6/10) vs Brentford
What we said: "Clearly a smart player who's a threat but isn't surrounded by the necessary quality to help score more goals."
Southampton - Fraser Forster (5/10) vs Aston Villa
What we said: "Nowhere near as bad as this scoreline suggests. The sole reason this didn't get towards double-figures."
Tottenham - Harry Kane (10/10) vs Everton
What we said: "Weaved his way through Everton with the ball at his feet. Put away the third with style after being played in by Doherty. Awesome volley from Doherty's lob for the fifth. A virtuoso display and now ahead of Thierry Henry in the all-time Premier League goalscorers list."
Watford - Moussa Sissoko (7/10) vs Arsenal
What we said: "His continual bursts forward were rewarded with a deserved goal."
West Ham - Ben Johnson (7/10) vs Liverpool
What we said: "Carved Liverpool apart with a beautiful cross-field ball before the break and generally held his own despite Diaz's presence."
Wolves - Marcal (7/10) vs Crystal Palace
What we said: "Occupied some good positions on the left hand side, but there was no targets in the penalty area for the Brazilian to hit with his deliveries."
