As professional wrestling royalty Ted DiBiase famously said, 'everybody's got a price'.

The Abu Dhabi United Group found Manchester City's price at £200m in September 2008. And while it felt like a steep figure at the time for a club who were continually floundering, doubters have been proven wrong. Very wrong. And the subsequent trophy haul since that takeover is living proof.

So, why not take a look at that proof? 90min has rounded up every single trophy the Cityzens/undisputed League Cup champions since their 2008 takeover, ordered by the season they were won.

1. 2010/11

Trophies won: FA Cup

The first major trophy won by City in 35 years was the 2010/11 FA Cup, where a Yaya Toure goal saw his side edge past Stoke City to lift the silverware.

The first of many.

2. 2011/12

Trophies won: Premier League

Mario Balotelli's only assist for the club was when he teed up Sergio Aguero to hand City their first ever top flight league title in the last seconds of the season.

While the Etihad Stadium was bouncing, Manchester United endured a long journey home from Sunderland having lost the title on goal difference.

Trophies won: Community Shield

After the highs of May 2012, the trophy haul continued a few months later with City picking up the Community Shield with a win over Chelsea at Villa Park.

That was the only piece of silverware they gathered in a less impactful season, the last trophy won under Roberto Mancini.

4. 2013/14

Trophies won: Premier League, League Cup

After an underwhelming 2012/13 season, City chirped up again in 2013/14 to complete a league and cup double.

Alright, the League Cup isn't a proper cup double, but it counts. They also had the joy of watching Manchester United finish seventh.

5. 2015/16

Trophies won: League Cup

After a trophy-less 2014/15 campaign, doubt was creeping in and Manuel Pellegrini would leave at the end of the season as a result. He ended on a high, though, picking up another League Cup and taking City to their first ever Champions League semi-final.

6. 2017/18

Trophies won: Premier League, League Cup

The first pieces of silverware in the Pep Guardiola era, the Cityzens repeated the exploits of 2013/14 but in the utmost Guardiola fashion.

The League Cup was becoming a formality, but City stormed to the Premier League title and won it in record-breaking fashion, finishing with 100 points and scoring 106 goals.

Playing the game on easy mode.

7. 2018/19

Trophies won: Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup

The treble you get when your mum says there's a treble at home in the freezer.

Joking aside, Guardiola's City reached new heights yet again in 2018/19, winning back-to-back league titles for the first time and becoming the first English side to win a domestic treble.

City fans will never forget Vincent Kompany's scorcher against Leicester to put them on pole for the Premier League; the greatest leaving present he could give.

8. 2019/20

Trophies won: Community Shield, League Cup

Three league titles in a row? No thanks, blame it on a pandemic or whatever, Liverpool's title has an asterisk etc.

By this point, the League Cup should be paying rent to sit at the Etihad.

9. 2020/21

Trophies won: League Cup

City's 1-0 win over Spurs in 2020/21 meant the League Cup stayed in Manchester for a fourth successive season.

Forget rent, it's time to start considering a mortgage.
