Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich is wanted by a handful of Premier League clubs towards the top of the table, according to the club's former director Michael Reschke.
Kimmich is one of several Bayern stars whose contracts expire in the summer of 2025, and with no agreement over a new deal in sight, he has understandably been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena.
Capable of playing in both midfield and at right-back, Kimmich has established himself as one of the world's finest players over the last few years and has helped Bayern win a staggering number of trophies.
But with contract talks at an impasse, ex-Bayern chief Reschke has revealed to Sky Sports Germany he understands why Kimmich would explore a move away, particularly given the number of clubs who would like to sign him.
"In the Premier League - I can assure you that, without giving away too much background information - there is definitely interest in Joshua. And not at the clubs from sixth-place down, but up in the region," Reschke said.
BILD note that Reschke's comments suggest Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Kimmich. Their own report adds that Paris Saint-Germain are admirers of the Germany international, while Barcelona could also enter the picture if he runs down his contract and leaves on a free transfer in 2025.
"I can't imagine that he even remotely thought about a change," Reschke continued, suggesting a potential exit is not clear cut. "Especially since he has now become a father again. And with Joshua, the connection to Bayern Munich - Joshua's emotional connection to Bayern Munich - is already very close. It's a matter of the heart.
"At some point there comes a point where, after ten years at Bayern Munich, you might want to do something different again. I think that's completely legitimate."
90min revealed back in October that Premier League champions City could ramp up their interest in Kimmich at the end of the season - an approach for him in the summer of 2023 was blocked by Bayern - while the player himself has been considering his future in Bavaria since May.
