The 2023/24 FA Cup third round will be spread over five days, with three fixtures taking place on Friday night.
The big boys have entered proceedings and there's still plenty of scope for magic with the draw throwing up an array of cup ties laden with intrigue.
Friday's fixtures perhaps aren't the most compelling, but there are two all-Premier League affairs to enjoy.
Here's everything you need to know about Friday's FA Cup third round action.
FA Cup third round matches today - Friday 5 January
Brentford vs Wolves
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Gtech Community Stadium
- Date: Friday 5 January
- Kick-off Time: 19:15 GMT / 14:15 ET / 11:15 PT
- Referee: Tony Harrington
- VAR: Rebecca Welch
These two sides met just after Christmas and it was Gary O'Neil's Wolves who walked away with an emphatic three points.
The visitors thumped four past the sliding Bees, who desperately need to enjoy a change in fortunes at the start of the new year.
Both managers will surely use the depths of their respective squads for this cup tie and O'Neil won't be able to call upon the services of Hwang Hee-chan due to the 2023 Asian Cup.
Brentford are out for revenge, but their recent FA Cup record is pretty grim. Only once have they progressed beyond the fourth round since 2007.

Fulham vs Rotherham
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Craven Cottage
- Date: Friday 5 January
- Kick-off Time: 19:30 GMT / 14:30 ET / 11:30 PT
- Referee: Dean Whitestone
- VAR: Graham Scott
Fulham ended a three-game losing run in some style on New Year's Eve as they deservedly beat title hopefuls Arsenal 2-1 at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva's side were excellent and will be confident of avoiding an upset on Friday night.
The Cottagers have already progressed into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and a two-legged tie with Liverpool awaits, the first of which will be played on Wednesday.
Rotherham could do with a cup run to liven spirits. They currently sit at the foot of the Championship and relegation is staring them in the face once more. On a brighter note, they are unbeaten in three games. Whoop whoop.

Tottenham vs Burnley
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- Date: Friday 5 January
- Kick-off Time: 20:00 GMT / 15:00 ET / 12:00 PT
- Referee: Sam Barrott
- VAR: Darren Bond
It was a landslide the last time these two sides met back in August as Tottenham thumped Burnley 5-2 at Turf Moor. However, Ange Postecoglou is expected to be without seven starters from that victory on Friday night.
Spurs have nonetheless stabilised despite their injury woes, with Brennan Johnson's introduction, Richarlison's upturn in form and Rodrigo Bentancur's return providing some mitigation. Crucially, the hosts will be without captain Son Heung-min as well as vice-captains Cristian Romero and James Maddison - the goalscorers from that August win.
Vincent Kompany is relishing this duel and his side have shown signs of life in recent weeks. However, as they sit 19th in the Premier League table, relegation seems likely.
