Florentino Perez: Real Madrid have already forgotten about Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez claimed Kylian Mbappe is 'already forgotten' after the 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Los Blancos won European football's premier club competition for a record-extending 14th time on Saturday night, overcoming Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool thanks to Vinicius Junior's second half goal.
It was no more than Carlo Ancelotti's side deserved after an outstanding defensive display, highlighted by a wonderful performance in goal from man of the match Thibaut Courtois.
After the game, Perez spoke to Movistar and TVE, where he spoke not only of Real's success this season but also the fact that the club have moved on from Mbappe - who turned down a move to the Santiago Bernabeu to instead extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

"Madrid will always continue to work on having the best players, but Mbappé is already forgotten, nothing has happened, Madrid has had a perfect season and it is a forgotten issue. Today there is no Mbappé, there is the party of the Real Madrid".
Perez on Real Madrid's season
"This year we have had a good season in general, a good competition, we have been lucky in that we have all the difficult teams and we have been overcoming one after another, it is a very deserved Champions League, the fruit of the players, from the coach and from the fans.
"These players are infected by the fans and we have seen some games that we will not easily forget."
Perez on Courtois' performance
"With all of them, the one he did with his foot against City. He's had a spectacular season, he's the best goalkeeper in the world and that's why we brought him in, he's very much a Real Madrid fan, Ancelotti is right when he says that the difference between Madrid and the others is that the Madrid players are madridistas.
"I remember how the veterans in the match against City were already off the field and encouraged the youngsters. Madrid is a way of understanding life, with its values, with its troubles sometimes, but as here it is not a club that we share benefits because there are none, we are a club of members, that communion has its importance".
Perez on Ancelotti's role
"It will have something to do with it because if he has won four he will have something, he is a good conductor who knows the psychology of the players, he knows Real Madrid very well and he knows football very well".
