Gameweek 20 provides favourable options for many people's go-to Fantasy Premier League captains, with the disappointment of recent blanks made up for by some juicy looking home fixtures.

Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min and Bukayo Saka all failed to get on the scoresheet in Gameweek 19 - Spurs' captain and new talisman the only to bag an attacking return in the form of an assist.

With the help of Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool, here are the best captain choices for your side heading into the new year fixtures.

Son Heung-min

  • Fixture: Bournemouth (h); Predicted Points: 7.4

Son Heung-min has taken on the goalscoring mantle from Harry Kane superbly, and the South Korean could be in for more glory when Spurs entertain Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With 24 points picked up in his last two home outings, Son's record speaks for itself in front of his own supporters, and not even a shift back out wide - to allow Richarlison to move centrally - has slowed down his points output.

If Son doesn't score, there's every chance he'll grab an assist - three from the last four gameweeks pretty good going.

Mohamed Salah

  • Fixture: Newcastle (h); Predicted Points: 6.6

Mohamed Salah didn't pull up any trees against Burnley on Boxing Day, but he's very seldom let Liverpool down at Anfield this season.

Indeed, the Egyptian has drawn a blank just once on home turf, registering nine goals and one assist - he's also converted three penalties.

Salah's form overall is impressive - he has two goals and an assist in his last four - and more importantly he's registered nine shots on target in that time, more than anybody else in the division. Newcastle United is a hard game on paper but Eddie Howe's side are depleted by injuries and the players available are badly struggling with fatigue - ten goals conceded in four attests to that.

Ollie Watkins

  • Fixture: Burnley (h); Predicted Points: 5.5

Were Ollie Watkins a midfielder, his AI predicted points for Aston Villa's home game with struggling Burnley would be a lot, lot higher. But there's still no reason to consider overlooking Watkins given the club's exceptional home form this season.

Watkins himself has ten attacking returns at Villa Park, and grabbed an assist in the reverse fixture earlier this seaason. Burnley have conceded the second most goals of any team this season, keeping two clean sheets, and that should offer plenty of encouragement to those who consider Watkins to be a banker option.
