Midfielders continue to dominate the transfer market in FPL once again this week, with the top three players purchased and top three sold all positioned in the middle of the park. So who are the best buys?
As per Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool, here are the top midfield stars to target in FPL Gameweek 22.
Eberechi Eze
- Fixture: Sheffield United (H); Predicted Points: 5.4
Crystal Palace have the pick of the midweek fixtures as they face bottom of the table Sheffield United. The Blades have failed to keep a clean sheet on the road this season, with the reverse fixture resulting in a 1-0 win for the Eagles.
Their talisman Eberechi Eze has produced a goal since returning from injury in late December, with all three of his strikes this campaign coming at Selhurst Park. He is dominant on set pieces, including penalties.
Kevin De Bruyne
- Fixture: Burnley (H); Predicted Points; 5.2
The return of Kevin De Bruyne in Gameweek 21 was a significant one, as he produced a 12-point haul from the bench against Newcastle United. That has seen the Belgian become the most transferred-in player, with over one million new owners.
De Bruyne registered 18 fantasy assists last campaign from an expected assists metric of 13.69 and scored home and away against opponents Burnley the last time they were in the Premier League back in 2021/22.
Richarlison
- Fixture: Brentford (H); Predicted Points: 5.1
Spurs entertain Brentford, who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last ten Premier League games. That puts Richarlison in an excellent position heading into this fixture, playing out of position as Tottenham's central striker.
Richarlison has thrived since moving into this attacking position, with six goals in his last six games. He sits second for shots on target in this time with nine and his output should only improve with playmaker James Maddison now back from injury.
