We arrive at FPL Gameweek 26 with Brentford assets among the most popular targets. They will be great options over the upcoming gameweeks since they double in Gameweek 27 & 29, plus also having a fixture in the Blank Gameweek 28.
Three Brentford players make the top transferred in players for Gameweek 26, so which options should we be focusing on for our transfers in?
David Raya (£4.8m)
Bees goalkeeper David Raya is the top performing goalkeeper in the game so far this season, averaging 4.7 points per game, keeping eight clean sheets. Half of those shut-outs have come since the restart.
It’s not just clean sheets which are the key to Raya’s success; he leads the way for saves among goalkeepers this season, with 100. He also sits top for bonus points with 14.
Ivan Toney (£7.6m)
The most controversial acquisition this week is striker Ivan Toney, who is the third highest scoring striker in FPL this season behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane. They are also the only players who can improve on his 14 goals in this campaign.
The challenge here is that he is two yellow cards away from a two-game suspension so there’s a chance he will be unavailable for some of his six fixtures over the next four gameweeks. There’s also those FA charges which could impact his availability too.
Ben Mee (£5.0m) & Rico Henry (£4.5m)
Brentford’s defence is attractive to invest in right now given their clean sheet potential and it could even be a viable strategy to double up on their assets for this period, with Raya and one or two defenders.
Ben Mee has the most goals of any defender in the game this season with three. Rico Henry sits top among Brentford’s defenders for big chances created with four and second for shots with ten.
