FPL Gameweek 30: The best goalkeepers to sign
A lucrative FPL Gameweek 29 which included six additional midweek games came to an end on Wednesday night. The dust has barely settled but we're already looking ahead to the weekend for some potential differentials.
There were seven clean sheets kept across GW29, while Brighton's Jason Steele even managed to notch an assist. Well done if he's in your team, folks.
But which shot-stoppers are primed to deliver points when Premier League football returns to our screens? Here are 90min's top picks.
Emiliano Martinez (£4.9m)
It's taken next to no time at all for Unai Emery to turn Aston Villa into a team built in his image. It's 16 points from the last 18 available, with one of the league's form marskmen up front in Ollie Watkins.
A home fixture with Nottingham Forest should yield a clean sheet for Emiliano Martinez, who has conceded only two goals in his last six league games. Forest have also been the worst away team in the Premier League this season, scoring only five goals in 14 games.
Illan Meslier (£4.5m)
Leeds hardly exude defensive steel and Illan Meslier hasn't kept a clean sheet since late February, but United have a decent run of games coming up as they seek to avoid relegation.
They face Palace this weekend before clashes with Liverpool, Fulham, Leicester and Bournemouth. There's potential for a few clean sheets there, so picking up Meslier to save cash elsewhere could be a wise move.
Ederson (£5.4m)
If you're looking for a clean sheet banker, Ederson seems like the obvious pick for a premium outlay.
The Brazilian's Manchester City side travel to face struggling Southampton in Saturday's late kick off. Pep Guardiola's squad really should travel back from the south coast with a clean sheet, with Ederson managing six shutouts in his last eight league games.
When is the transfer deadline in FPL Gameweek 30?
The transfer deadline for FPL managers to make changes before is 11:00 BST Saturday 8 April. There is no game on Friday night this week, with Everton's trip to Manchester United being the weekend's first game early on Saturday.
