So who are the key targets to consider?
Goalkeeper - Jason Steele
Predicted Points: 7.9
Jason Steele has been in fantastic form for Brighton since winning the number one shirt from Robert Sanchez, preferred by Roberto De Zerbi for his confidence on the ball.
In just seven starts he has amassed three clean sheets, an assist, a penalty save, three save points and six in bonuses. This puts him as one of the highest performing goalkeepers in points per game terms and the fixtures are on his side with both games coming at home.
Defender - Andy Robertson
Predicted Points: 10.5
There’s plenty of tempting options in Liverpool’s midfield and forward line, but they are plagued by rotation, with Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo both substituted around the 60 minute mark in their recent games.
It’s far safer to double up on Liverpool’s defence and despite a more defensive role for Andy Robertson in recent games, he’s still chalked up assists in consecutive games. A return to clean sheets for Liverpool would allow him a higher points ceiling.
Defender - Ruben Dias
Predicted Points: 9.0
Finding Manchester City players who should start both games across the double is a minefield but defensive option Ruben Dias has started nine consecutive Premier League games since returning from injury.
Dias hasn’t registered an attacking return this season but in the previous campaign he notched seven, including two goals and five assists, so he’s certainly due a goal involvement from a City set piece.
Midfielder - Solly March
Predicted Points: 10.4
With the pick of the fixtures, having an attacking player from Brighton feels like a must with Solly March providing consistency throughout the season.
He managed an assist against Manchester United in Gameweek 1 and since the international break has four assists in five games. He’s top for key passes over this period with 22 and second for big chances with five behind Kevin De Bruyne.
Midfielder - Bruno Fernandes
Predicted Points: 8.2
Bruno Fernandes quickly became a differential in FPL when he was sold on mass in Gameweek 33 as an injury doubt but he now looks available for the double. It’s been a quiet few weeks for him in a deeper role but with key players like Casemiro and Eriksen returning from suspension and injury he could move further forward.
He’s third for key passes since the international break with 17, with no assists from four big chances created. He’s been unlucky. Fernandes is also on penalties for Manchester United.
