Leeds United’s Rodrigo has been the most transferred in player this season, with over three million managers bringing him into their teams since Gameweek 1. The midfielder scored four goals and registered one assist across the opening three gameweeks, with only Erling Haaland scoring more fantasy points to date.

However, there was bad news this midweek: Rodrigo was substituted around 30 minutes into the home game against Everton with a shoulder injury. The Spaniard is set to miss the next 3-4 weeks, meaning his owners now need to shop for a replacement to take them at least to the International Break after Gameweek 8.

Wilfried Zaha vs Newcastle United (A)

If you’ve got funds in the bank, then upgrading Rodrigo to Zaha has to be the go-to move for Gameweek 6. He was the form player of pre-season and has maintained those levels since the season started: he has scored four goals in four appearances for Crystal Palace.

Zaha is the talisman of this Palace side, involved in over half of their goals and also on spot-kicks. Opponents Newcastle United have conceded six goals in three games, after keeping back to back clean sheets in the opening two gameweeks. 

Pascal Groß vs Leicester (H)

For those managers searching for a direct replacement for Rodrigo, Pascal Groß remains the pick of the budget midfielders. He is the third highest scoring fantasy player in the game this season, just one point behind Rodrigo, having delivered three goals and one assist in the opening five gameweeks.

Brighton are a side in form, sitting in the Champions League places with three wins and a draw from their opening fixtures. Opponents Leicester sit at the very bottom of the Premier League table and look to be a team in crisis, with just one draw and 11 goals conceded.

Marcus Rashford vs Arsenal (H)

Manchester United are a side on the up, climbing to fifth in the Premier League table after three consecutive wins. Marcus Rashford has been involved in half of their goals over this spell, with one goal and one assist. He could make a mockery of his price tag if the Red Devils continue this hot streak.

Their next fixture is a tough one, a home tie with Arsenal, but the Gunners could be without their goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale who has a hamstring issue, as well as holding midfielders Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny. We could see a new advanced role for Rashford with new signing Antony set to play on the right wing.
