France continue their World Cup title defence when they face Tunisia on Wednesday.

Les Bleus are already into the last 16 of the tournament and know avoiding defeat here against a Tunisia side needing victory themselves to progress will see them take top spot in Group D.

Following victories over Australia and Denmark, manager Didier Deschamps could make some changes to the starting XI with the knockout stages on the horizon.

France predicted lineup vs Tunisia (4-2-3-1)

GK: Hugo Lloris - There may be changes elsewhere and the Tottenham goalkeeper could be rotated out, but it's not the first area that needs addressing.

RB: Benjamin Pavard - Dropped from the starting XI after the Australia victory, Bayern defender Pavard could come back into the team in place of Jules Kounde.

CB: William Saliba - The Arsenal defender is yet to make an appearance at the World Cup finals but may come in to give Raphael Varane - only just back from injury - a rest.

CB: Dayot Upamecano - Impressed against Denmark and will look to continue that fine form against Tunisia.

LB: Theo Hernandez - There aren't many other options at left back aside from Theo Hernandez, who replaced brother Lucas against Australia and assisted Kylian Mbappe's first strike against Denmark.

CM: Matteo Guendouzi - France's injury crisis opened the door for Guendouzi to make this World Cup and any replication of his tenacious displays for Marseille will come in handy.

CM: Adrien Rabiot - The Juventus midfielder has three international goals in 31 international appearances since 2016, two of which have come this year.

RW: Kingsley Coman - Ousmane Dembele has enjoyed a positive start to the campaign but some natural rotation should see Coman given a start.

AM: Eduardo Camavinga - This match seems tailor-made for Camavinga. The Real Madrid midfielder loves to drive into space and could exploit the spaces Tunisia leave as they chase the win.

LW: Kylian Mbappe - There may be some worries over workload, but Mbappe has the World Cup Golden Boot in his sights after three goals in his first two games.

ST: Marcus Thuram - Olivier Giroud looked slightly disconnected from Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann up front against Denmark. He remains a key part of the side but may drop out here in favour of Borussia Monchendgladbach's Thuram.
