Graham Potter on what went wrong for Chelsea in draw with Nottingham Forest

Graham Potter has admitted that Chelsea's second half performance 'wasn't good enough' after the Blues drew 1-1 with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

The Blues were firmly in control of the game in the first 45, taking a one goal lead thanks to Raheem Sterling and generally keeping hold of the ball well.

In the second half, however, Chelsea's levels dropped significantly allowing Forest to come back into the game and eventually - deservedly - bagged themselves an equaliser in the 63rd minute through Serge Aurier.

Speaking at the press after the game, Potter lamented the lack of pace and energy about Chelsea's second half performance, stating:

"Hard earned point, against a team that are set up well they put us under pressure second half. Our performance level wasn't good enough to take the three points. We didn't move the ball fast enough, not enough movement. But it would've been unfair to take the three points.

"When the game became a bit more out of control we suffered with the duels and struggled to deal with that aspect. It's a tough game, Forest played a good game but we're disappointed with our performance over the 90 minutes and concerned we didn't deserve the win.

When asked about Chelsea's poor form away from home so far this season - they've won just two away Premier Leagues thus far - Potter said:

"Away from home, teams are not going to make it easy for you. Players are going to run through a brick wall [against Chelsea] and we have to be humble to know that is a challenge we face. And we have to do better."
