Bayern Munich will look to continue their near-flawless start to the Julian Nagelsmann era when they travel to newly-promoted Greuther Furth on Friday night.

Bayern have begun the season in flying form, winning four of their opening five games and scoring 20 goals in the process. Neighbours Furth, in contrast, have picked up just one point so far, coming in a 1-1 draw with Arminia Bielefeld.

Furth have a couple of injury issues to contend with ahead of this Bavarian derby. Defender Gideon Jung heads up the concerns, while Robin Kehr and Hertha Berlin loanee Jessic Ngankam are sidelined too.

USMNT attacking midfielder Julian Green could play against his former club, although he has been left out of the starting XI in recent times.

Nagelsmann has close to a clean bill of health ahead of Friday's game. The only player destined to miss out is Kingsley Coman, who has been suffering with heart problems recently.

Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry both have knocks but they should be fine to feature in some capacity.

Greuther Furth may be at home, but they need a major miracle to get anything from this one. Bayern come into the game off the back of a 7-0 win over VfL Bochum, who finished above Furth in the 2.Bundesliga last season.

This one has the potential to get ugly for the hosts, particularly with Robert Lewandowski in such merciless form in front of goal. Anything less than a humiliation would be a good result.
