Harry Kane continued his incredible start to life at Bayern Munich with a hat-trick in their 8-0 hammering of Darmstadt, with one of his strikes coming from inside his own half.

Saturday's clash at the Allianz Arena was one full of action from start to finish, with Joshua Kimmich sent off after four minutes and Bayern denied a penalty by VAR soon after.

Some order was restored in a sense when Klaus Gjasula was sent off for the visitors, before teammate Matej Maglica was also given his marching orders.

Darmstadt survived until half-time at 0-0, at which point Bayern became the meme of the video game player leaning forward in their chair because they'd had enough tomfoolery and it was time to get serious.

Kane opened the scoring on 50 minutes with a simple header from a Noussair Mazraoui cross. Before the hour mark, Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala had grabbed goals of their own to firmly put the game beyond Darmstadt's reach.

Sane secured his brace on 64 minutes before Kane stole the show moments later. Thomas Muller raced forward to start a counter attack and shifted the ball to the England captain inside the centre circle. With a quick glance up, Kane noticed goalkeeper Marcel Schuhen standing far off his line and went for the spectacular, lobbing him from over 50 yards.

Unfortunately for Darmstadt, their misery was yet to be fully compounded. Muller got in on the act essentially from the resulting kick-off, with Musiala taking the scoreline to seven heading into the final 15 minutes.

There was still time for Kane to round off his second hat-trick in a Bayern shirt, slotting home following an eye-of-the-needle assist from Sane.

Kane has now scored a staggering 14 goals in 13 matches for Bayern since joining from Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, while they have moved back to the top of the Bundesliga with Saturday's win, sitting a point clear of Bayer Leverkusen but having played a game more.
