LAFC could soon bolster their attacking department with the signing of Atletico Madrid legend Antoine Griezmann.

The audacious move for the 33-year-old would see a France national team reunion between Hugo Lloris, Olivier Giroud and Griezmann himself. LAFC are a club that's known to make big swings in the transfer market, and this move is no different.

Steve Cherundolo's side are already blessed with quality attacking options up front with the likes of Giroud, Cristian Olivera, David Martinez and Denis Bouanga -- and just imagine how many goals the Black and Gold would score with Griezmann in the mix.

Should LAFC complete the deal for the former Barcelona and Real Sociedad figure, there would be a few different ways for Cherundolo to incorporate Griezmann into his 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 setup.

Griezmann as a striker

While Giroud will most certainly lead the line for the most part during his time at LAFC, should the former AC Milan forward need a rest, Griezmann could slot in as a striker like he's done in recent seasons at the club level.

While Cherundolo typically plays with two wingers and one striker, there's also the chance that he could switch things up to a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 to have both Griezmann and Giroud on the pitch at the same time and in front of goal together.

Another way that Cherundolo could utilize Griezmann is as an attacking midfielder playing just behind Giroud.

While Cherundolo's system doesn't usually have an out-and-out attacking midfielder, Griezmann could play as a No. 10 in games where LAFC are struggling to break down a low-block side. The role could also allow Griezmann to roam freely in the final third to pull the strings and create chances for his teammates.

As LAFC now have two strikers in Giroud and Kamara, Cherundolo could look to get the best out of Griezmann by utilizing him in the wider areas of the pitch as a winger.

While Griezmann might not have the same pace he used to, his excellent link-up play and dribbling would no doubt make him a feared attacker against MLS defenses. As he's left-footed, he would more than likely line up out on the right-hand side of the front three.
