Football has been revolutionised over the past two decades and that is largely down to one man: Pep Guardiola.

Having risen to prominence as Barcelona boss, forging one of the greatest club sides the world has ever seen, the fiery Catalonian has gone on to enjoy immense success at Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Wherever he has travelled, trophies have followed, often in remarkable numbers.

Guardiola has gone on to bolster his overflowing silverware cabinet during the 2023/24 season and his incredible record of accumulating titles is unlikely to slow down in the coming years.

Here's how many trophies the great thinker has won over the course of an illustrious career.

It all began in Barcelona. The club Guardiola represented for 11 years at senior level, the 53-year-old started his managerial career off with the club's B team - where he won the Tercera Division - before being appointed head coach of the first team in 2008.

A risk at the time, Guardiola's reign would spark a revolution within Spanish football as Barcelona swiftly became frequent and relentless winners. He masterminded a historic treble in his debut campaign after winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, becoming the youngest coach to ever win Europe's most prestigious cup competition as a coach.

The 2009/10 campaign was similarly remarkable with a Supercopa de Espana crown, FIFA Club World Cup title, UEFA Super Cup and La Liga trophy to boast come the end of the season.

There was another league title to come in 2010/11 and a Champions League trophy in the same season after Guardiola conquered Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United for the second time in the showpiece event.

In total, he accumulated 15 trophies with Barcelona and Barcelona B as a manager - adding to a sparkling trophy cabinet with the club as a player - and that success would continue in Germany.

Bayern's dominance over German football was never likely to suffer from Guardiola's arrival and the master tactician added plenty more trophies to the club's cabinet. He won three Bundesliga titles in his three seasons in Bavaria, with his side rarely having to get out of second gear in their pursuit of the Meisterschale.

There was similar success in the DFB Pokal with two triumphs and there was also a UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup gathered by the Spaniard - competitions Bayern entered during Guardiola's first season due to their 2012/13 Champions League victory under Jupp Heynckes.

However, Guardiola did lose all three of his DFL Supercup duels and failed to claim another Champions League crown for the German giants - although seven trophies in three years is a pretty decent return.

Guardiola's most trophy-laden spell at any club has come during his time with Man City, with 18 trophies to his name in total at the Etihad. The most recent of those was the 2024 Community Shield which followed another Premier League title win - the sixth of his tenure and a record fourth successive crown.

There has been a ludicrous amount of domestic glory for the Cityzens during Guardiola's reign with four EFL Cup titles and two FA Cups - a total that may be added to come the end of the 2023/24 FA Cup final against Manchester United.

However, the crowning glory of Guardiola's time in Manchester came in the 2022/23 Champions League final, with a first European Cup triumph for Man City and a first for Guardiola since 2011 after his side beat Inter 1-0 on the big stage,

Pep Guardiola has amassed a total of 40 trophies over the course of his career. Even if we were to remove super cup competitions, the current Man City boss has still claimed 30 titles during a 17-year spell on the touchline.
