How much money does Cristiano Ronaldo earn at Al Nassr?
By Euan Burns
After a pretty intense couple of years in the headlines for various reasons, both good and bad, Cristiano Ronaldo is now more distanced than ever from the European game.
He is plying his trade out at Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and while he has still made headlines for events there, it is nowhere near as frequent as his second spell at Manchester United which ended in a very bad way.
He may not have been able to deliver the Saudi Pro League title in his first season at Al Nassr, but he has certainly been enjoying a very handsome payday. It is not like he really needed one, but the figures Ronaldo is receiving are crazy.

What do Al Nassr pay Cristiano Ronaldo?
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr after the 2022 World Cup when it became clear that he had burned his bridges at Manchester United. The interview he did with Piers Morgan was the final straw and an agreement over a mutual termination of his contract followed soon after.
A few different clubs were possible destinations for Ronaldo, but in the end he chose to accept an offer from Al Nassr to kick-start the division's attempted rise to prominence. As far as his bank account is concerned, he won't be regretting it.
Al Nassr are paying Ronaldo £177m per season to play for their club, which is incredible. To put that into some sort of context, he was getting £26m a year at Juventus before his second spell at United, and then £20m per season at Old Trafford.
Which footballer is paid the most money?
This may not be a major surprise. That £177m salary makes Ronaldo the highest-paid footballer in the world right now. It also makes him the highest-paid athlete full-stop, according to Forbes.
The likes of LeBron James, Canelo Alvarez, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant cannot rival Ronaldo anymore when it comes to money and that is not even factoring in the multitude of sponsorship deals and other business ventures that Ronaldo earns money from.
How has Cristiano Ronaldo done at Al Nassr?
In terms of his goal return at Al Nassr, there is very little to complain about. In 16 Saudi Pro League matches, the Portuguese forward has scored 14 times and got two assists.
Despite that, Al Nassr were not able to win the league title. They finished a disappointing five points behind Al Ittihad after 30 games, which cost Paulo Fonseca his job. Plenty of videos surfaced towards the end of the season which showed Ronaldo's frustration at his Al Nassr teammates.
Assuming that Ronaldo stays at Al Nassr for the next season, he could well have some more reinforcements, with the Saudi side looking to raid Europe once again.
Al Nassr teammate Abdulrahman Ghareeb recently spoke to content creator Abu Mashael about how Ronaldo is living his life in Saudi Arabia and it is clear that he is not letting his standards slip.
"Ronaldo's life is very serious. He gets angry if he loses in training despite having won many European championships and individual titles. This is in addition to his early attendance at training before many others. I receive great support from Ronaldo. He stands by me greatly and he is the reason I attend training with great enthusiasm. I train with Cristiano, how can I not be excited?" he said.
