Welcome to Wrexham, the FX documentary series that took the world by storm, is returning for Season 3 this week, May 2.
The official trailer debuted 10 days ago with owners Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds detailing how the first two seasons paralleled with the Rocky Balboa movies. Season 1 ended in disappointment, Season 2 ended with the celebration of returning to the English football league. If you haven't followed Wrexham this season, we'll save you any potential spoilers.
"People expected to see a documentary about us changing Wrexham, but I think it's about Wrexham changing everyone else," Reynolds said to close to the trailer to the tune of Eye of the Tiger. Not only that, but the documentary also released during the height of the Ted Lasso craze which likely helped boost its popularity.

Wrexham is the third-oldest professional football club in the world. According to FX, Season 3 will offer much more in terms of access on the pitch thanks to being promoted back into the EFL. This season is much shorter in comparison with Seasons 1 and 2 tallying 18 and 15 respectively. Though, there might be more to come considering the difference in length. Nothing has been confirmed, and we'll have to wait to see the pace at which these episodes start at.
The first two seasons are available in full to stream on Hulu so newer fans can binge 33 episodes to get all caught up.
