Hugo Lloris suffers significant injury in blow to Tottenham's season

Hugo Lloris could miss the next eight weeks of action after picking up a knee injury.
The Tottenham captain sustained the problem during their hard-earned 1-0 win at home to Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday.
The victory looked set to breathe fresh life into Spurs' flailing season but they have been dealt a major blow with this injury.
Lloris is set to miss the next six to eight weeks, ruling him out of several key fixtures including both legs of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie with Milan. They currently sit one point outside the Premier League's top four.
The Frenchman has not enjoyed the best of seasons at club level having made a league-high four errors leading to goals, most recently gifting Arsenal the opener in January's north London derby defeat.
Lloris is expected to be replaced in the starting lineup by summer signing Fraser Forster, who has only made one Premier League appearance for Tottenham so far - their 2-2 draw at Brentford on Boxing Day.
In the long-term, Spurs have been scouring their options for a long-term replacement to Lloris in the summer. 90min understands that Brentford's David Raya, Brighton's Robert Sanchez and Everton's Jordan Pickford are among their targets.
