Inter Miami announce new stadium naming rights deal with JP Morgan Chase
- American banking giants JP Morgan Chase agree to naming rights deal with Miami
- The Herons' home was previously known as DRV PNK Stadium
- Miami's home ground can currently hold 21,500 fans
Inter Miami have announced a new stadium naming rights deal with American banking giants JP Morgan Chase ahead of the upcoming MLS season.
Goodbye, DRV PNK Stadium. Hello, Chase Stadium. It just has a much better ring to it, doesn't it?
The new deal in south Florida is Chase's first-ever naming rights partnership with a professional soccer team, and it's no surprise to see the United States' biggest bank choose the Herons as plenty of eyes will be tuning in to see Lionel Messi in action.
Chase, who merged with JP Morgan in 2000, also hold stadium naming rights for NBA franchise Golden State Warriors' Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
"Inter Miami is honored to partner with the country's largest bank, JPMorgan Chase. We could not have envisioned a more fitting new main partner, as we look forward to chasing our dreams at Chase Stadium in 2024 and beyond," Miami chief business officer Xavier Asensi said in a release.
"When it comes to partnerships, we believe in quality, and we are thrilled to kick off an exciting campaign ahead alongside an impactful partner like Chase."
Earlier in the offseason, Miami also announced a new jersey sponsor partnership with cruise company Royal Caribbean for their new 2024 shirt, replacing cryptocurrency firm XBTO.
"Chase will have a visible presence throughout the stadium with major signage on the interior and exterior of the stadium," the club said in a statement. "Inter Miami CF will also introduce the J.P. Morgan Suite Level and VIP Entrance, and showcase the company’s brands on key visuals with LEDs and other stadium signage."
The Herons open up the 2024 MLS season at Chase Stadium on Wednesday, February 21 against Real Salt Lake.
