Major League Soccer side Inter Miami has been linked with a transfer for Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez, according to Revolo.
Nacho, 34-years-old, has spent his entire senior career with Real Madrid. The Spaniard made his first-team debut in 2011 and has amassed 241 appearances scoring 12 goals. He's won four LaLiga titles, five Champions Leagues among a number of other honors. On a national level, he won the UEFA Nations League with Spain and the European Under-17 and Under 21 championships.
This summer looks to be impactful for Real Madrid considering the expected arrival of Kylian Mbappe and departure of Toni Kroos. With Nacho's contract expiring at the end of this season, Inter Miami holds interest in signing the defender.
Gerardo 'Tata' Martino lost Argentinian defender Nicolas Freire after suffering a torn ACL. According to Revolo, Miami will push for Nacho as a replacement.

If the transfer comes to fruition, Nacho would be the fifth former LaLiga player to join the Herons. Of course, he'd be the first Real Madrid player considering the Barcelona quartet of Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi.
A key aspect of the transfer is that Miami could sign Nacho as a TAM (target allocated money) player or a Designated Player in place of Leonardo Campana who is currently in one of the three TAM spaces. There is flexibility, the added benefit of location in Miami and the need to reinforce the backline after losing Freire.
Nacho's mind is currently focused on winning the Champions League final after securing another LaLiga title. Nacho played the entirety of the second leg semi-final against Bayern Munich and has his eyes set on number 15.
