Inter team news

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will be very pleased coming into this derby as he should have his entire squad available. The likes of Francesco Acerbi and Stefano Sensi have been working to get fit after muscle problems, while Alexis Sanchez is trying to get into shape after his return from Marseille.

With their Champions League opener against Real Sociedad to come next week, Inzaghi may exercise caution with some new players like Pavard and Davy Klaassen, keeping them on the bench and sticking with the side that has brought him success so far this season.

Things are slightly more complicated for Stefano Pioli and Milan heading into Derby della Madonnina. There was a lot of doubt surrounding Olivier Giroud after he picked up an ankle injury while playing for France, but he has since trained with the group and is expected to start.

Pierre Kalulu is set to miss out with an injury also sustained with France, while Fikayo Tomori's red card against AS Roma before the international break means Pioli has something of a headache at centre-back. Ismael Bennacer remains out with a long-term injury.

Inter vs AC Milan score prediction

There has been almost nothing to separate these two teams from the first three games of the Serie A season and it could be an incredibly thrilling encounter. Inter certainly have the upper hand when it comes to player availability and have more victories in this fixture in recent seasons.

With Kjaer and Thiaw at the back, Milan may be a bit more exposed. Going forward, though, the Rossoneri have looked devastating and it is really hard to imagine either team not scoring on Saturday evening.

Prediction: Inter 2-2 AC Milan
