Is Luke Shaw fit vs Liverpool? Latest Man Utd injury news vs Liverpool
Luke Shaw could return to Manchester United's starting XI for their clash with Liverpool at Anfield, but Erik ten Hag will be without other key players.
Things are going well for the Dutchman at the moment with his side beating Newcastle 2-0 to win the Carabao Cup and well on track to finish in the top four of the Premier League.
It would take a disastrous run of form for the club not to qualify for next season's Champions League now and they can further solidify their chances of doing so with a win over arch-rivals Liverpool.
Here's their team news ahead of the match.
Man Utd suspension news vs Liverpool
Man Utd won't be missing any players through suspension for their match against Liverpool with Casemiro set to make his first Premier League appearance since picking up a red card and ban against Crystal Palace.
The club also don't have any players close to being suspended for accumulating too many yellow cards.
Man Utd injury news vs Liverpool
Man Utd won their first trophy in six years against Newcastle but it wasn't quite the perfect day with Shaw picking up an injury that ruled out him of their FA Cup clash with West Ham.
Ten Hag has confirmed the 27-year-old has since returned to training, but whether he'll be fit enough to play against Liverpool is unclear.
There's also uncertainty regarding Jadon Sancho - who recently fell ill - and Anthony Martial, but Donny van de Beek and Christian Eriksen will definitely miss out through injury.
Will Luke Shaw be back for Man Utd?
Shaw has been a key player for Man Utd this season, performing excellently at both left-back and centre-back.
Given that, his manager will want him back in the starting XI for the game against Liverpool and is optimistic the Englishman will be fit enough to return.
"I think we will have players back," Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference. "[Against West Ham] Luke Shaw was not available, so we expect him back."
If there is any uncertainty though, the Dutchman may be reluctant to take a risk, especially considering Shaw's injury history and the fact that Tyrell Malacia is a capable replacement.
