ISL: Chennaiyin FC boss Thomas Brdaric wants to create a new identity for the club ahead of upcoming season

Chennaiyin FC head coach, Thomas Brdaric has reiterated that he wants to build a team with a fresh identity as he looks to ensure that his side are among the contenders for the Indian Super League (ISL) title, come the end of the upcoming season.
Brdaric has ensured that his side have started pre-season training early on, in order to ensure that the players are well-versed with his methods before the season kicks off, with the German happy with the players at his disposal as he believes that they have the necessary talent to achieve their objectives.
โI am pretty happy to have some genuine scorers in the squad. The boys are serious and eager to deliver their best shot this time. We have started our preparation early this season and boys are looking forward to having a great time on the pitch this time and creating an identity for Chennayin FC," he said in an interview.

โFirst of all, we need to have clear settings. A good strategy has to be in place. We are creating a good team that the players and the fans can identify with. We need time; that is why we started the pre-season early.
โWe want our players to maintain good fitness and gain confidence. The players understand that we need to create an identity for the club. We need to have good guidelines for the season. The coaching staff have to build the team step by step. I like the way we are working together," Brdaric added.
Chennaiyin FC's management for their part would be hoping that the German will help them challenge for the title once again, considering that they have been a historically dominant club in the ISL - having reached the final thrice and won the title two times.
