Jadon Sancho grabbed an assist for Borussia Dortmund just 20 minutes into his second debut with the Bundesliga side.

The winger joined Dortmund on loan earlier this week from Manchester United, who last saw an assist from Sancho back in May.

After a public clash with United boss Erik ten Hag saw him frozen out of the first team, Sancho returned to his old stomping ground in the hope of rediscovering his best form and getting his career back on track.

He came off the bench in the second half of Saturday's victory over Darmstadt and needed just 20 minutes to make an impact.

Driving down the right, Sancho's cut-back found Marco Reus, who tapped home into an empty net to help Dortmund to a 3-0 victory.

Sancho managed 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances for Dortmund across his first spell at the club and has wasted little time adding to those tallies now he is back in black and yellow.

Such electric form deserted Sancho at United, where he managed just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances.

Allegations of poor discipline and work ethic were strongly rebuffed by Sancho earlier this season and the winger has found support from a number of different places recently. Former United boss Ralf Rangnick admitted he never had any issues with Sancho, and Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has also backed the 23-year-old.

"Jadon has no problem with discipline," he said. "I don't know who thought that up."
