Jamie Redknapp & Gary Neville criticise David de Gea for mistakes in Everton draw

Sky Sports pundits Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville have joined forces to ask questions of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea, whose uninspiring performance saw the Red Devils draw 3-3 with Everton on Saturday.
The Spaniard's weak save allowed Abdoulaye Doucoure to tap home Everton's first goal, and while he was helpless for the second, concerns were also raised about his failure to come and claim the late free kick which led to Dominic Calvert-Lewin's equaliser.

With young Dean Henderson waiting in the wings, some fans have called on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to drop De Gea in favour of the Englishman, and Redknapp and Neville both admitted De Gea should have done more in the game.
"David de Gea as a goalkeeper has got to go out there and take everything - he's got to be brave, assess the situation," Redknapp said (via The Express). "Because if he comes out with some authority I've got no doubt at all that he'd win this, smother it.
"He doesn't come and believe he's going to make that challenge. He was at fault for the first goal and certainly at fault there."
Neville added: "David de Gea, there, at the end. He doesn't even come in line with the ball. I think you want goalkeeper to come, as Jamie said there, and eat the striker. You just want your goalkeeper to come out there and absolutely take him out."
While Neville accepted that De Gea's poor save allowed Doucoure to give Everton some hope early in the second half, the United legend insisted that he was by no means the only player whose defensive lapse contributed to that goal.
"There have been some awful performances in parts of games," he said. "Tonight they put in one of their better performances but in moments defensively they were really bad.
"David de Gea, there [the first Everton goal], so weak. The parry out into the box - it's not good enough, they're not clearing their lines. Luke Shaw not sprinting out to the corner as quick as he can do, Fred not making it."
It was a performance which saw Solskjaer publicly claim that his side should not be seen as title contenders this season, despite the fact that they will end the weekend in second place, behind only leaders Manchester City.
