One of West Ham's latest additions, Jarrod Bowen, has revealed the thought process behind leaving Hull City to join the Hammers.

The wide man had been in electric form for the Tigers over the past few seasons, scoring 52 Championship goals since 2017 - including 16 this season - before sealing his move to the London Stadium.

While his West Ham career so far has been brief, he has already notched his first Premier League goal for the club and has provided fans with a great deal of excitement for what is to come.

Bowen joined David Moyes' side in the January transfer window in an £18m deal, and will be looking to quickly repay his new manager's faith if and when the season resumes.

As for the move itself, Bowen told MOTDx, (via football.london), that: "[For] Footballing reasons, it was [an] easy [decision]."

While it may have made sense to move from the Championship side to the top tier, it will not have been a straightforward move for a man who has spent his career with Hereford before Hull.

As he explained himself: "It was stuff off the pitch, moving down to London, but I have adjusted to it and I have got used to it.

“I have got a house now with my dog, so it is all good," added the Englishman.

Bowen will have to adjust quickly when Premier League football does resume, with his new side sitting perilously close to the drop zone in 16th, level on points with 18th-placed Bournemouth.

As for his former club Hull, they are also dangerously close to the relegation places, after a dreadful run of form before the league season was suspended.

Bowen will be hoping that both his current and former sides can stave off the drop.
