Indian Super League club Hyderabad FC's superstar Joel Chianese has made it his intentions clear that he wants to help young Indian footballers to get to the next level.
Chianese has played two seasons under current coach Manuel Marquez and has won the ISL title last season. He then recently penned a new deal with Hyderabad FC for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
“I think you can expect the same from me as the last 2 seasons. I will give 100% every game, adapting to any style of play. I hope to score and assist goals but more importantly, I want to be a player who can take pride in helping the Indian players around me improve,” the attacker spoke to Hyderabad FC on what the fans can expect from him.
Chianese has been a great asset for Hyderabad FC, having played in multiple positions in their front three, coming up with some important contributions on their way to a maiden Indian Super League title.
On a personal level, he is known to be popular among the squad as well as youngsters.
Since he has been at the club, they have been playing under a bio-bubble and now, he is looking to play in front of the Hyderabad FC fans.
“We really can’t wait to play in front of you all at our home stadium. We have felt the support from afar the last two seasons and now it’s time to be loud,” he added.
He then revealed how it feels to be regarded as the champion of the Indian Super League as he said, "It is never easy to become champions, so it is an amazing feeling to know your hard work and sacrifices as a team was worth it. Hopefully, it gives the fans something to smile and be happy about at the same time."
