Jude Bellingham has reassured Real Madrid fans that he has no concerns about the state of his knee as he begins pre-season with his new side.

Bellingham missed the final two games of Borussia Dortmund's run-in after picking up the injury which later also forced him to withdraw from international duty with England in June.

Despite nursing the problem during his medical checks, Bellingham was cleared to join Real Madrid for a huge fee - an initial €103m that is likely to rise with bonuses.

With Los Blancos back at Valdebebas on Monday, Bellingham spoke to Marca to give an insight into his fitness.

"I’m feeling fine and I’m ready for the first training session," he said. "I’m ready to play and my knee is perfectly fine."

Players will undergo final medical checks on Monday morning before being welcomed back into training.

Reports have suggested that Bellingham was actually the first player to report to Valdebebas, with fellow new signing Arda Guler not far behind.

Fans will hope to get a glimpse of Bellingham in action when Real Madrid get their pre-season tour underway. Los Blancos are due to fly to the United States later this month to take part in the Soccer Champions Tour 2023.

AC Milan are the first opponents on the schedule on 23 July, with Manchester United, Barcelona and Juventus all coming up in the days that follow.
