Juventus Confirm Paulo Dybala is Given the All-Clear Following Coronavirus Diagnosis

Juventus have confirmed that Paulo Dybala has been given the all-clear of Covid-19 having tested positive for the virus back in March.

The Argentine was one of the first high-profile footballers to contract the coronavirus, having been given a positive diagnosis alongside Juventus teammates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi. Northern Italy, where the Turin club is based, has been one of the worst affected areas of Covid-19.

Having been in self-isolation since March, Juventus have now revealed that the forward's most recent test has come back negative, as Dybala joins Matuidi and Rugani in being given the all-clear.

A statement on I Bianconeri's official website read: "Paulo Dybala performed, as per protocol, a double check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for Coronavirus-Covid 19, which came back with negative results. The player has, therefore, recovered and will no longer be subjected to the home isolation regime."

The news will come as a welcome relief to the 26-year-old, who had continuously been tested positive for coronavirus on four separate occasions since his initial diagnosis. However, finally, the test has come back negative.

Despite the harrowing nature of the coronavirus' impact on Italy, Serie A clubs recently voted 'unanimously' to play out the remainder of the league season following a group vote. At present, Juventus currently sit top of the table by a single point, with all the sides in the league left with either 12 or 13 matches left to play.

Dybala has enjoyed something of a renaissance for Maurizio Sarri's side this season, playing in 24 of his side's 26 matches thus far, during which time he's grabbed seven goals and racked up nine assists as the club aim to fight off competition from Inter and Lazio for the Scudetto.
