Juventus owner 'running out of patience' with Massimiliano Allegri
The CEO of Juventus' parent company John Elkann is 'running out of patience' with Massimiliano Allegri following a disappointing run of results, 90min understands.
The Turin giants have endured a torrid season both on and off the pitch, culminating in a week during which they were beaten 2-1 in a Europa League semi-final by Sevilla, deducted 10 points due to 'capital gains' infractions, and were thoroughly thumped by Empoli 4-1 on Monday evening.
All of these disasters means that La Vecchia Signora will end the season trophy-less and potentially in seventh place - outside of the European qualification places.
Speaking after Monday's defeat to DAZN, manager Allegri stated that he does not intend to leave Juventus despite their underperformance both in Europe and domestically.
"It would be cowardly for me to abandon Juventus at this moment," he said. "I am disappointed tonight because it was an opportunity, but I also cannot reproach the team for anything, because it has been a continual chasing down of situations."

90min understands that Elkann, however, is beginning to feel differently about Allegri's situation and is 'running out of patience' with the Italian.
Sources confirmed to 90min at the start of May that Juve are willing to offer Allegri a move upstairs to a director of football role with the view of bringing in a new first-team manager to work alongside him.
That proposal is still very much on the table as discussions over Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli have stalled – reports in Italy suggest that the compensation needed to bring him to the club has proved problematic.
A move into a director role, to become part of Juventus' new leadership group, is also something Allegri is said to be interested in after spending 20 years in the dugout. He previously led Juventus to five Serie A titles and runner-up finishes in the 2014/15 and 2016/17 editions of the Champions League, and also has a 2010/11 title win with AC Milan on his CV.
