Juventus predicted lineup vs Spezia - Serie A
Juventus host Spezia in Serie A on Sunday evening as they continue their pursuit of Champions League qualification.
When Juve lined up against Spezia in September, Massimiliano Allegri's side were win-less and third from bottom in Serie A. Yet, since that autumnal victory, no side in the division has collected more points than the Old Lady (48).
Here's the XI that Allegri may pick to continue their resurgence against the side that kick-started it.
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Wojciech Szczesny (GK) - Rested in midweek as Allegri persists with the rotation of his goalkeepers, Szczesny remains the club's firm number one.
Danilo (RB) - Danilo's abundance of versatility no doubt contributes to his coach's depiction of the Brazilian as 'truly an extraordinary player of the highest level'.
Leonardo Bonucci (CB) - Wrapped up in cotton wool for the midweek cup clash as Juve were down to the 'bare bones' according to Allegri.
Matthijs de Ligt (CB) - In a squad fractured by injuries, no outfield player has featured in more Serie A minutes for the club this season than the relatively durable Dutchman.
Luca Pellegrini (LB) - In the continued absence of Alex Sandro, the Rome-born left-back could line up for a Serie A match the day before his 23rd birthday.
2. Midfielders
Juan Cuadrado (RM) - Following 28 league outings without providing a single goal, the wide man has laid on two assists in his last pair of Serie A matches.
Arthur (CM) - So comfortable in possession, Allegri warned that Arthur 'relaxes a little too much' on the ball.
Manuel Locatelli (CM) - Injury to Denis Zakaria and the sale of Rodrigo Bentancur hasn't left Allegri with many choices outside of Locatelli.
Adrien Rabiot (LM) - The mercurial Frenchman has featured in 25 of the club's last 26 matches across all competitions.
3. Forwards
Dusan Vlahovic (ST) - Juve's high-profile January arrival scored his last Serie A hat-trick against Spezia on Halloween.
Alvaro Morata (ST) - Recently overlooked in place of Moise Kean, Morata could be restored alongside his fellow slick-haired forward.
