Juventus predicted lineup vs Sampdoria - Serie A
Juventus will be aiming to gain some ground on the teams at the top of Serie A when they welcome Sampdoria to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday morning.
La Vecchia Signora have been well...how to put this...crap so far this season. They are 10 points adrift of Napoli at the top of the league, and needed a late comeback to beat newly-promoted Spezia in midweek.
In order to right the wrongs of their 2020/21 campaign so far, here's how Max Allegri should line his team up on Sunday.
Juventus predicted lineup vs Sampdoria - Serie A
1. Goalkeeper & defenders
Mattia Perin (GK) - Back in the Juventus line up on Sunday for the first time in nearly three years to replace Wojciech Szczesny because he's been...well...how to put this...crap this season.
Mattia De Sciglio (RB) - You wouldn't have even known he was on the pitch in the Spezia win. Will need to be at least present for this one.
Leonardo Bonucci (CB) - Looks half the player when Giorgio Chiellini isn't beside. Needs to improve his form - and fast.
Matthijs de Ligt (CB) - Scored the winner on Wednesday and is eyeing a new contract at the club.
Alex Sandro (LB) - He's one of two left-backs on the books at the club, and the other has played one game for Juve ever, so Sandro starts.
2. Midfielders
Juan Cuadrado (RM) - Probably the best, most consistent, performer for Juventus over the last three or four years. He's the main creative threat in this team.
Manuel Locatelli (CM) - The new signing has been slowly bedded into the starting XI, and looks like he's going to be a big player for the club for the foreseeable future.
Rodrigo Bentancur (CM) - Looked leggy against Spezia, and probably will this weekend too, but he's still better than Adrien Rabiot so he should start.
Federico Bernardeschi (LM) - Juventus don't really have a natural left midfielder at the club, so a big performance here could set up Berna for an extended run in the starting XI.
3. Forwards
Alvaro Morata (ST) - Made a difference when he came on against Spezia and is generally really good for Juventus - despite being terrible everywhere else he's ever played.
Moise Kean (ST) - Scored his first goal back at the club on Wednesday, and will look to add to his tally this weekend.
