A Juventus side on the rise host relegation-scrapping Spezia in Serie A on Sunday evening.

Spezia, conversely, have lost their last three league games on the spin and go into the weekend's fixtures in a precarious 16th-place.

Juventus team news

Juve's unbeaten streak is made all the more impressive given the glut of injuries throughout Allegri's squad.

Alongside long-term absentee Federico Chiesa, Weston McKennie has been sidelined for the foreseeable future with a sprained ankle. The lesser-used Kaio Jorge isn't scheduled to return until next month.

The absences of Giorgio Chiellini (calf) and Alex Sandro (muscle) have particularly weakened an injury-ravaged backline for Juve. Winter arrival Denis Zakaria was forced off last weekend with a lesion in his adductor that could rule him out for three weeks. Leonardo Bonucci is also a doubt with some discomfort in his calf.

Fortunately, Paulo Dybala, Federico Bernardeschi and Daniele Rugani have returned to training ahead of the upcoming league fixture.

Spezia team news

Spezia lost two players to suspension in their 1-0 defeat against Roma last weekend. Kelvin Amian took just six minutes to rack up a pair of yellow cards that earned him a dismissal on the cusp of half-time. Jakub Kiwior needed 12 appearances to receive his fifth caution of the campaign but that tally has also ruled him out of Sunday's game.

Midfielders Jacopo Sala (hamstring) and Aimar Sher (hip) are expected to miss out on the trip to Turin. Atalanta-loanee Ebrima Colley is also thought to be sidelined with physical concerns while backup goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet nurses a sprained ankle.

Juventus vs Spezia head-to-head record

Spezia, in their current guise, only made their Serie A debut in 2020. Juventus have beaten them in all three top-flight meetings. But the Ligurian outfit have held the Old Lady level in the first half on each occasion.

The Aquilotti actually led Juve when they shared the second tier in 2007 going into the final seconds of the contest only for Pavel Nedved - Juventus' current vice-chairman - to snatch a point with a 90th-minute equaliser.

Juventus vs Spezia score prediction

Juventus have hardly returned to the imperious force that claimed nine Scudetti on the spin - four of their ten games unbeaten have been draws.

However, the Old Lady have afforded their opponents precious few chances all season and bought the division's top scorer this winter. It may not be vintage, but Juve could record their longest run without defeat since December 2019 this weekend.

Prediction: Juventus 1-0 Spezia
