Kasper Schmeichel reveals what life is like at Sir Jim Ratcliffe-owned OGC Nice
Kasper Schmeichel has given Manchester United fans an insight into what life is like under the ownership of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS Group.
90min understands that Ratcliffe's bid to buy Manchester United values the club higher than that of the rival offer from Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, with the INEOS chief 'hoping to do whatever it takes' to purchase the Red Devils.
Schmeichel, who plays for OGC Nice, another football club owned by Ratcliffe, was full of praise for how the billionaire conducts his business in sports during an interview on Sky Sports, stating that his presence was one of the main reasons why he decided to join the Ligue 1 club in the summer of 2022.
"One of the biggest reasons I joined Nice was INEOS and because of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir David Brailsford, and their vision and how they want to evolve their sports," the Dane said.
"They've been successful in, not just business, but in every other sporting venture that they've thrown their investment at. I think, with Manchester United particularly, Jim is a big Manchester United fan and I think that speaks a lot to Manchester United fans that there's someone coming in who cares deeply about the club.

"From my own experience at Nice, he's a man who's present, who comes to games. A guy that's knowledgable about football but also has a vast knowledge about performance in general. He has great people like Dave Brailsford working for him who, again, was present.
"Again I think that's the main thing for any club I've ever played at, you look at Leicester as an example, the owners are present. There's not this divide between the people who own the club and the people who are there on a daily basis.
"Obviously I'm biased in terms of hoping that INEOS are the preferred bidders but, yeah, let's wait and see."
Whether Ratcliffe, who is looking to purchase a controlling stake at Old Trafford, is successful in taking over remains to be seen, but 90min understands that the Glazer family are more open to staying at the club than ever before.
That could put INEOS' bid in pole position, as the Glazers would be able to retain part-ownership of United rather than relinquishing full control to the Qatari bid.
