90min's Make Your Mark series gets to the heart of what made footballers the players they are today.
Be it a family member, a coach, a team or a personality trait, someone or something down the line has been particularly key in a player's journey into professional football.
90min sat down with England international and Brighton star Katie Robinson to discuss the five things that made here the player she is today before the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup knockout rounds:
Sacrifice
"The first thing I wrote down is 'sacrifice'. Growing up in Cornwall, quite a rural area, not a lot of big clubs around, I had to sacrifice and leave home at an early age.
"I joined a professional women's at 15 years old, probably not many people would do that at such a young age but I think doing that enabled me to get here where I am today."
Love for the game
"I've loved football since I was a little girl, kicking the ball around in the garden, and I still love it as much now which is really big factor in me doing well."
Family
"I think my family have been a massive support for me over the years, especially when I was younger. They've been with me through it all and sacrificed a lot.
"The dedication they put in to drive me places with there not being any big clubs close [to home], so their support has been amazing."
Resilience
"I've had some hard setbacks to overcome, including an ACL injury which meant I was out for a whole season. That was quite a hard thing to get past."
Belief
"I think in my career so far I've had time where I've struggled with believing in myself. When you're finding things hard you have to believe in yourself, and that's been massive for me."
