Kylian Mbappe gives cruel response after Arsenal fan asks transfer question
- Mbappe laughed in Arsenal fan's face when asked to join Gunners instead of Real Madrid
- France captain is expected to sign for Los Blancos after leaving PSG
- Mbappe has been benched and substituted by Luis Enrique since decision to leave became public
Paris Saint-Germain and France star Kylian Mbappe laughed off a suggestion of joining Arsenal when greeting a young fan.
The 25-year-old is expected to join Los Blancos this summer when his PSG contract expires, with a five-year deal reportedly in place at the Bernabeu.
Mbappe is due to link up with other world-class young players like Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior in Spain, but Madrid's project is not the only exciting one in 2024.
Arsenal have developed into one of Europe's best teams over the past two years and, like Madrid, have reached the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League. However, their recent improvement has not been enough to convince Mbappe to opt for the Emirates Stadium over the Santiago Bernabeu.
One supporter popped the question to Mbappe, even adding "We'll look after you", but the France captain insisted "there is no way" and that "it's too cold there".
Mbappe has had to disappoint wide-eyed supporters before. The former Monaco star bumped into Tom Holland back in 2021, with the Spider-Man actor begging him to join his favoured team, Tottenham.
However, Mbappe laughed in his face and later told CNN: "I don't think I will play for Tottenham in my life."
Before his move to Madrid is confirmed as expected this summer, Mbappe still has trophies to win with PSG.
The Paris giants are cruising at the top of Ligue 1, creating a ten-point lead over second-placed Brest, and were handed a favourable tie in the Champions League quarter-finals where they will face Barcelona.
Arsenal, meanwhile, must overcome a mental hurdle when they face Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who are lagging behind Bayer Leverkusen this season but boast the goals of former Spurs striker Harry Kane.
Mbappe has had to deal with being benched in recent months since his decision to leave PSG became public, with manager Luis Enrique admitting he and the club must start planning for life without their talismanic forward.
