Despite their respective financial woes, you can bet your bottom dollar that Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid will once again dominate La Liga's transfer market this summer.

It has to be said that Real's monetary issues pale in comparison to Barça's, who were forced to pull several "financial levers" last summer to ensure Xavi could build a title-winning squad. Their gamble somewhat paid off, but greater success in Europe is necessary if their current approach is to be a success.
